Scholarship and Writing

• August 2026 - Article, "Engaging Youth in STEAM Through Benjamin Banneker–Inspired Community Learning Experiences" published in NSTA's Connected Science Learning journal

• Spring 2026 - Authored two book chapters currently in the publication process

Grants and Partnerships

• Spring / Summer 2026 - Co-authored a grant supporting the launch of the Hunstville Region Mathematics Teacher Education Partnership, or HSV-MTEP, in collaboration with Oakwood University and the University of Alabama, Huntsville.

Teaching and Curriculum Development

• Spring /Summer 2026 - Authored six undergraduate and graduate level mathematics education course syllabi for Alabama A&M University.

• Fall 2025 to present - Taught courses across early childhood, elementary, and secondary mathematics education, as well as in instructional technology and special education

National Leadership Recognition

• Spring 2026 - Selected as an AMTE STaR Fellow.

• Spring 2026 to present - Supports early career teachers as a mentor through the NCTM Early Career Teaching Fellows program.

• Fall 2025 - Served as an invited speaker for two national mathematics conferences.

• Fall 2024 to present - Served on the NCTM Research and Program Committees

• Fall 2025 to present - Member of the authorship team for an NCTM position statement on teaching mathematics to multilingual students.

• Fall 2022 to Fall 2025 - Continued service as a board member and conference committee member for NCSM.

Community-Engaged and Externally Connected Work

• Spring 2026 - Facilitated a BranchED research project focused on AI simulation-based learning experiences in mathematics teacher preparation and professional learning.

• Fall 2025 to Spring 2026 - Supported The Bridge nonprofit through mathematics tutoring.

• Summer 2026 - Served as a Mathematics Coordinator/Director for the Bulldog Summer Camp at Alabama A&M University.
